..I spent about ten minutes staring that clock in the face. Alone, it was silent, save for its unstoppable ticking. Each click of sound was deafly loud against the haze around me. I began counting each tick, switching between counting each individual sound, to each second there were two. I soon forgot the number. But I at least remembered that it had ticked an unknown numerous amount. I was reminded of the threads of time itself, of each memory lost or possibly forgotten. But I at least remembered that there were memories there, even if I couldn't recall every little second. With that distant hope, I set the clock down, and my life continued...


Just a bit of thinking I did this morning. (Well, afternoon, but it was right after I'd woken up)
I've been out of it the past few days, but this bit of metaphorical thought clicked whatever was missing into place. I'm not even sure what I needed, but I've woken up now.
